For the price it was very nice and clean. The staff were lovely, especially Abdul and the 2 ladies that serve breakfast and clean the rooms.
On our arrival to the Riad at 8.30pm, we were told to get out of the taxi and follow a man (who didnt speak any english and had no card for the hotel). It was all very sketchy as there were many men surrounding us and we were not told by the hotel that someone would meet us and walk us to the hotel. We were expecting the taxi to take us straight to our hotel. The man who met us ended up being extremely lovely but it made us feel extremely uneasy as the woman that runs the hotel did not advise us of this. As like most places in Marrakech, there are no signs for the hotels so it would not have been very easy to find. Also if you chose to pay with credit card and the woman that runs it says the machine is broken, say that you have no cash and it will magically start working again. True Moroccan honesty, lol.

Very pretty interior, warm welcome. Comfortable bed. Generally a nice start to our stay in Morocco and well worth the price. A bit away from the big market place, but not sure that was a problem, because it was very quiet and we slept well.
The cleanliness of the room was a bit lacking, the towels were a bit smelly from having been wet too long.

The staff were excellent, very helpful at all time. Since our arrival, Abdul (the ´guardian) picked us at the parking after the airport transfer service and guided us throught the labyrintique streets at midnight, and offered us some mint tea before going to bed. The room was very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was very nice and typical with fresh home made bread and moroccan tea and a good selection of marmelades. We have no complaints at all and fully recommend the brand new (although very typical) ryad.
Just be careful on the streets of Marrkech with people trying to offer help to find the riad. Arrange the riad´s airport transfer service and they will sort everything out for you to avoid any hazards on the street.

The dar is very beautiful. We choose the eau room (the blue one), it was romantic and beautiful and the bathroom was really special, with a lot of taste. The people who worked there was so nice, helpfull and kind, with full sense of service. It was really calm, with a wonderful terace where we had breakfast. It is a very central dar, easy to get there by taxi or walking from the square Jamaa el Fnaa (about 15 minutes walk). From the parking (called Riad Larousse) where the taxi stops it is just 2 minutes walk,in the medina. The Dar Elma is the perfect place for people who like to rest in a quite and wonderful place after a day in the caotic and beautiful Marrakech. It's not recommended for people who wish to go to the disco at night. Amanda and I will definitly recommend this place.
We had a dinner, a traditional Moroccan meal, in the patio. We enjoyed the romantic and relaxing atmosphere mora than the food. It was good but not excellent. It is good to eat there if you are tired and you want to relax and have a break from the noisy Marrakech. We took a bottle of Moroccan "President" rosé wine that was good

Riad Dar Elma's location is good though it is extremely difficult to find it the first time (but that's tru for pretty much every riad in Medina). I think they should put more info on how to find the riad. Rooms were clean, though towels an bed sheets were smelling like they had stayed wet in the washing machine hours before being dried. Breakfast was good.
Smelly towels and bed sheets.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They even helped us book excursions and make dinner reservations. The attention to detail in the rooms was impressive, with thoughtful touches like toiletries and extra amenities. The location was also perfect, just a short walk away from all the main attractions and markets. We loved being able to explore the city easily without having to travel far.
That the hot water in the shower sometimes ran out. However, we understand that this is common in Morocco and it didn't have a major impact on our overall experience.

Outstanding food, incredibly friendly hotel, good location in a nice area. Location short walk to the city centre, the day where the people of the Sahara visits safe to say both events are imaginary, and the Medina and markets...

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel recently and we were thoroughly impressed. The location was perfect for us as it was in the medina but more on the outer perimeter, making it easy to find and also convenient for our excursion to the Atlas mountains the next morning. The room was beautifully decorated and the twin beds were so comfortable that we had a great night's sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always wearing a smile and making us feel welcome. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner in the courtyard by the plunge pool, and they even catered to my sister's vegan needs. our experience at this hotel was amazing.
